Major development
activities for rural segment are governed by Zila Parishad, headed by the Zila Pramukh who
is an elected chairman through Panchayat Elections. Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad
executes following schemes for development and welfare of the public :
1. National Rural Employment
Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS)
This scheme was
launched on 1st April 2008 in Dausa district. It provides 100 days guaranteed employment
to every enrolled rural family. A seperate link "MNREGS Progress at DAUSA" is
given on the website for details upto GRAM PANCHAYAT level.
2. Swarn Jayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana
(SGSY)
Bank loans and subsidies are provided to the BPL selected families for
improvement of resources as per their technical skills and requirements. For SC/ST
beneficiaries, the subsidy is 50% ( maximum 10,000/-) whereas for general, it is 30 %
(maximum 7500/-). The main objective of the scheme is to generate employment in BPL
families.
3. Indira Awas Yojana (IAY)
Financial assistance is provided for construction of house to BPL [
Below Poverty Line ] families having no PAKKA house in rural areas. It is perferred that
houses are built in groups for better common facilities but individual assistance also
provided in installment as per status of the construction. For one room, kitchen and
toilet in 20 sq.m., an assistance of Rs.35,000 is allowed.
4. MP Local Area Development ( MPLAD)
Under this scheme, Every Member of Parliament can select development
works, each costing not more than Rs.10 lacs and upto Rs 2 crores, in their parliamentary
area and forward to the District Collector for execution.
5. MLA Local Area Development (MLALAD)
Under this scheme, Every MLA can recommend works upto Rs 80 lacs to
create public assets for local requirements in his/her constituency.
6. MADA ( Bikhari jan Jati Yojana)
Subsidy is provided to the poor persons of the ST community to uplift
their economic development. Under this scheme, capital subsidy for membership of
cooperative socities, subsidy for electric connection, hand pump installation, higher
education for girls, ayurvadic treatment camps etc is provided.
